Paperback approved

It looks like my artist’s corrections met with Amazon’s approval and the paperback is now approved. It doesn’t appear to be linked to the Kindle book yet or even show up on Amazon yet but the wheels of Amazon sometimes turn slowly. Except for Prime

So, Amazon rejected my paperback again. They don’t like the fact that the complete title is not on the cover. Which is odd, because I see plenty of books that do the same. The artist had a stylized version of the cover with fancy lettering

The new book cover for Veil Online – Book 2 is complete. After working with Karen for several days, we ironed out the details and it looks great!

It features Jace, Diana and Hiromi fighting a huge orc. And, of course, Luna is on the cover as well!

I can’t quite reveal it yet, but very soon!

Book Marketing Strategies with iWriterly

I watched a new book marketing video today. It has some good advice, at least from my perspective. Marketing is my kryptonite and it doesn’t come natural to me.

I’m sure that’s the case with most authors. We want to write and create, not marketing. If you’re in this boat, watch the video below. I think she brings out some interesting points – especially about the brand building.

I was tempted at first to build a website based on my series name, but as she points out, once you write a second series, suddenly there are multiple websites for readers to go to and that dilutes your brand.
